Kalrez® Pharmaceutical/Biomedical Industry

  Kalrez® perfluoroelastomer parts for the Pharmaceutical/Biomedical Industry have true elastomeric properties and sealing capabilities as well as the same level of cleanliness and universal chemical resistance as PTFE, which has been the material of choice.
 
The suggested products for the Pharmaceutical Industry are:
Kalrez® 6221 and 6230/6230A - These suggested compounds provide superior chemical resistance and low contamination from extractables in pharmaceutical applications where FDA compliance is required. They are especially suited for Water For Injection (WFI) systems, Steam-in-Place (SIP) cleaning and other critical systems.

Kalrez® 4079 - A low compression set product for use in many dry and wet process environments. It has excellent chemical resistance, good mechanical properties and outstanding thermal stability.

Kalrez® Spectrum 6375 - Has an excellent balance of performance characteristics required for semicon wet processing environments.

Kalrez® Sanitary Seal - A combination of two optimum performance engineering materials—stainless steel and Kalrez®. This prefabricated seal provides the cleanliness of PTFE and the elastic memory of an elastomer while meeting stringent ASME requirements for joints intended for clean-in-place (CIP) and steam-in-place (SIP) applications. The Kalrez® sealing element minimizes absorption, desorption and extractables to assure minimal contamination and a long sealing life.
