Kalrez® Aircraft and Aerospace Industry

The ability to withstand extreme temperatures makes Kalrez® perfluoroelastomer parts ideal for use in aircraft and aerospace applications. Kalrez® parts also withstand aggressive aerospace fluids, including jet fuels, engine lubrication oils, hydraulic fluids, rocket propellants and oxidizers.
The suggested compounds for the Aircraft and Aerospace industries are:
Kalrez® 4079 – is a black, low compression set product that has excellent chemical resistance, good mechanical properties and outstanding thermal stability. Kalrez® 4079. A maximum continuous service temperature of 316 °C is suggested. Short excursions to higher temperatures are also possible.

Kalrez® Spectrum™ 7075 – a carbon black-filled compound with mechanical properties designed for improved sealing performance in temperature cycling applications. Kalrez® 7075 has improved thermal resistance that extends maximum service temperature to 327 °C.

Kalrez® Spectrum™ 7090 – a black compound, with excellent mechanical properties including compression set resistance, seal force retention, response to temperature cycling effects and rapid gas decompression resistance. Kalrez® Spectrum™ 7090 offers outstanding thermal stability and chemical resistance. A maximum continuous service temperature of 325° C is suggested. Short excursions to higher temperatures are also possible.
